Lovin' Ireland

Howdy, everyone.  It has been a while since my last post, apologies.  Not much happened between then and now.  Just work and school as usual.  Well, I did take a girls' trip to the Canary Islands.  That was fun!  My body needed some sun, salt, and sand, and my mind appreciated the mental break.

Last weekend Matt and I visited Ireland!  Our first stop was Dublin, followed by a day/night in Killarney (Kerry Co.) and Cork to kiss the Blarney Stone :)  We had an absolute ball.  In Dublin we paid our respects to our favorite brew at the Guinness Storehouse on King Street, and Matt enjoyed the Jameson Distillery.  Of course we hit up pubs and enjoyed more than our fair share of pints, complete with traditional Irish music, and even a Beatles cover band!  How did we get so lucky?!

In Killarney, Matt hit the links at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club whilst I meandered through the Killarney National Park and reveled in the beauty of Irish forest and countryside.  I stood in awe in front of the most breathtaking waterfall I've ever seen - Torc Waterfall.  It looked like a dream.  Everything was so green, just as I expected!

The last day we headed to Blarney Castle where we toured the structure and kissed the Blarney Stone.  We wandered through the "poisonous gardens" - yes, full of poisonous plants that you cannot smell, touch, or eat - and took photos in front of the Blarney House.
